How to Help: Court Support Faq
Q: How do I participate in Court Support as a volunteer?
A: It is easy to be a Court Support Volunteer, – To help keep you current on court dates and other activities, you can subscribe to our RSS feed or sign up for our Solidarity Alerts to have notifications sent to your inbox or mobile device, or just check our calendar for court date information.
You can also attend our meetings, subscribe to our newsletter, and check us on Facebook and Twitter for updates and information about upcoming cases and court support.
Then all you have to do is attend the hearings in your area. There is no sign up necessary, but ride share is available! We strongly suggest that you dress appropriately and follow court rules as outlined in “Tips on Going to Court” to achieve the best possible outcome for the defendant.
If you are interested in other volunteer opportunities, such as writing letters or helping to organize or recruit court support and other events, please use our Volunteer Contact Form
. Make sure to tell us what you are interested in helping with so that we can best hook you up with a team leader or project to suit your interests and talents.
Q: How do I participate in Court Support as a defendant?
A: Use our Court Case Intake form to provide information about your Medical Marijuana case. We will review the information and add your case to our Court Support calendar and encourage our members to attend your hearings and trials. It helps to provide us with a background story to post, pictures and any mention of your situation in media.
We can also help if you are interested in finding out more about how to affirmitavely defend yourself by understanding the judicial system and the law.
