Stacey Theis and Jacob Shepherd both Human Solution members and founders of Cannasense have embarked on an incredible journey in a bus with a mission to educate and help promote cannabis freedom.  As road trips go, sometimes repairs are needed.

Here’s an update:

The CannaBus is in need of much mechanical bus love to continue the tour!!! We have a very skilled mechanic in Detroit that is going to do all the labor for free and parts cheap!! Bus has been blowing tires every other state and we need to get a couple tires to be safe too!! All of our funds have been exhausted due to break downs and the tow!! PLEASE help anyway you can to get the Cannabus safely back on the road so we can quit canceling dates, and get her to DC for July 4th. Input needed for Hush the series

I recently recieved a call regarding a new media project that is in the process of being launched. They are looking for sponsorship or at least some exposure to bring awareness. I told Rosie that this is not something we normally do as our energy is usually spent on court support, prison outreach and education but if she could present her project to the group, I would be open to such sponsorship. Please comment or message input to [email protected]! Blessings and here’s the pitch

Hi Joe,
I wanted to carefully think about what I wanted to construct for your team. We are a team of artists working on a project that will hopefully open a serious conversation about the cancer, conventional treatments, “alternative” treatments, the legalization of marijuana and it’s causalities.
Joletta Hardman and I first started out by having strong opinion about the conflicts our society has, and the lifestyle and choices available to us as women in the San Francisco Bay Area. As we indulged our opinion through our art. The script HUSH The Series reflected what really mattered to us in a creative capacity. We created a women’s story surrounded by conflict that faced us in the region we live in, the San Francisco Bay, the impact several conflicts has on us as individuals and as a “village”… Little did we realize how deep this story goes into our community.
I always believe in merging people together and working as an ensemble. With this project, like everything else I do, I wanted to merge communities that benefit best from having a relationship.  Like I said in our conversation, when I came across your website, I thought how amazing would it be for reach out to your community.. for me it was obvious to have a relationship.  I do realize now, how delicate our relationship could be.  I admire and in awe of your work. The more people I meet as a result of our story, the more I feel like I’ve been surfing through life.  My heart is touch by all these warriors that go up to battle for individuals who would not have a life otherwise… Medical Cannabis Doctors and Advocates like yourself.
Initially, the story was created to serve a small showcase purpose.  Since it has evolved, we now realize it can serve more people than just us and the entertainment community.  The story is inspired by true events in the past… we are astound at how many people still live this reality.
“HUSH The Series” (inspired by true events) is about a “Bay Area doctor imprisoned for her discovery and administration of a controversial home-grown cancer cure” and is currently in preproduction with an expected summer shoot date. The series analyzes individual and cultural ideals as well as the search for a cure to the human and cancer condition. The story begins with Dr. Susan Rothburger in jail being interviewed by one of her former cancer patients, reporter Jule Watson. Together they work to discover who turned Susan into the FDA and how they might get her out. The following episodes weave around the diverse personalities and events surrounding Susan’s arrest and trial.
Though the story is fiction, it was inspired by true stories of persecuted doctors using unconventional treatment methods, as well as testimonials from communities that swear cannabis has healed their incurable disease.
In conclusion, we aspire to present this story to open the door (gently) to the internet/web base communities on a global level. Distribution licencing has yet to be decided. Not necessarily to focus on one side, but all sides of this story, and why people do what they do.  Presenting this drama, we hope it will touch audiences emotionally, for people to decide for themselves what may be just or injust in our society.  What good parents do for their children, offer choices, we as artists, try humbly to model that and offer choices to our audience.  With that in mind, I hope we can start a relationship between us and your community for mutual support.
Let me know your thoughts,we appreciate your willingness and efforts and understand which ever your teams decides.  Nonetheless, since you are sending out a newsletter today, here are some feature tools:

The little newsletter that could

After four years of growing as a group we have finally reached a point of what I like to call a “beacon” A constant light shining brightly enough for those that need to see.  In spite of the normal ebb and flow of membership, our numbers continue to grow and with them our numbers of defendants and POWs that need the education and support that we provide.

With five chapters now thriving in 3 states and several more on the verge of forming, it has become important to find a way to share information effectively as nearly every day something new happens that needs our attention somehow. Our website has undergone a robust transformation and now has many interactive features. Our visitors increase every month as do our hits. This is the main source of information sharing. However many posts are quickly buried and can be difficult to find unless you know how to navigate so we have social media.

When new posts and pages are published they are shared on facebook, twitter, stumbleupon, pintrest,  and linked in. These posts also get buried quickly as the activity increases. Our calendar is a tool that keeps dates and events currently posted but we developed a weekly newsletter that is published every Monday afternoon.

Featuring the latest posts, updates from chapters, pows and defendants as well as patient stories, and anything else members would like to share, the newsletter can be considered the “pulse” of The human solution.

We are using great software that allows tracking of opens, shares, clicks and much more information. To launch we put all members and people that signed up on the subscription list and sent it off…  We figured that most of the people involved would open an email from the group but alas less than half were opened. Several more issues were sent with the same result so we culled the herd. The software allows us to only send to those that have opened. Now our list has shrunk to half of its original number though new subscribers join all the time.

Our goal is to have an interactive infrastructure that can announce alerts, court dates etc. If needed but will only work if we learn to use it. We welcome input and content to add and I expect that future editions will be different than they do today. Even with this new method, 83 subscribers did not open the last issue and the list will shrink again..

This newsletter will be a huge asset to defendants seeking support and chapters looking to share information with the larger group as well as members wanting to know what’s happening now in the fastest growing and most active group in the nation. If we use it, it WILL perform!

A new and interactive calendar

We have made many changes to the website in the past several months and one of these is a new calendar. Our website is powered by wordpress, and open source platform and uses plug ins that don’t always get along. We have solved some problems by installing a new calendar plug in.

As our group has grown, so has the list of defendants that need support. Every day it seems new dated pop up and need to be added and published. One of our members has recently taken on the task of updating the calendar so now it’s up to the defendants to make sure we have the current information regarding dates, location, status, and any details relevant to the date.

We have made it easy for anyone to input the information for a court date or any other meeting or event that needs attention. Please make sure to check the calendar and resend information if you don’t see it posted. We’re doing the best we can and Active defendants that share their story and updates always garner more support! Please submit your story and your updates so that we can help rally support! Remember when every courtroom of every cannabis defendant is full of supporters, juries will take notice and as they become educated of their right and obligation to judge both the law as well as the evidence, they will begin to refuse to convict..

It’s already happening!

Thank you for being the solution

The Human Solution is a grass roots movement that makes progress daily by the hands of dedicated volunteers that attend court support, write prisoners, share education and other behind the scenes tasks. Our movement grows stronger every day as more join the team and take ACTion. Teams have been helping develop educational brochures and writing articles for the website blog. Still others have worked to bring a weekly newsletter to your inbox. These tasks are often simple, but take time. If you have time to volunteer and interest in taking ACTion, consider applying for THS volunteer positions. Find out what positions are available below and apply here.
